Summary

I once ran what I believed was a very successful law practice and even had a client who became the largest in our firm. I trusted him, thinking he was honest, until I discovered his deceit. When he was indicted by the federal government for his misdeeds, the situation spiraled out of my control. In 2005, I faced the frightening possibility of spending 12 to 15 years in prison for crimes I didnโ€™t commit. I cried myself to sleep night after night, pleading with God to show me His willโ€”whether I should go to jail or stay with my family. With Godโ€™s help, the judge sentenced me to six months of house arrest instead. That pivotal moment led me to search for a church where I could truly belong. I parked my truck with my family, feeling the welcoming embrace of a church that felt like home. Although I was baptized as a child, I felt compelled to outwardly proclaim that I am a child of God. Today, I am an enormously happy manโ€”leading a small group, volunteering, and serving as a director on weekends in Morrisville. I continually ask God what He wants for me, and I trust that His guidance is leading me every day.
