Hi, I’m Dean. Growing up in a traditional Jewish household in Tel Aviv, I treated God like Santa Claus, merely asking for grades and family safety without understanding His will. After completing my military service at 21, I received a letter from the Robotic Council of Israel informing me that I might not be considered Jewish anymore, which deeply shook me. While reflecting alone on a mountain in Ecuador, I experienced a profound encounter with God, hearing His voice and feeling His presence. This transformative experience led me to read the New Testament fervently, eventually realizing that Jesus (Yeshua) is the Messiah. Despite struggling to articulate this experience initially, I was guided to join a Messianic congregation, where over a year, God’s revelations deepened my faith. Embracing forgiveness, I decided to dedicate my life to sharing the gospel, joining the Masa project and working with Jews for Jesus. Through these ministries, I’ve shared the gospel with Israeli backpackers worldwide, witnessing God’s power to transform lives and inspiring others to follow Him. My journey from strict Judaism to a passionate follower of Jesus has been filled with challenges and breakthroughs, all made possible by God’s unwavering grace.
