Don West Testimony: Victory Over Death

Longtime partners of KCM and members of EMIC, Don and Jill West owned their own trucking company in 2014. On January 31st of that year, Jill was at home when she received a disturbing call from her husband who was driving a truck that day. He told Jill that something was wrong and where he was located and then he stopped talking. Jill heard a gurgling noise coming from the phone and knew that she needed to get to her husband.

When Jill arrived at the site where the truck was parked she discovered that her husband had been slumped over the wheel and non-responsive when a friend found him and had helped to lay him out on the bunk in the cab of the truck. Jill climbed up in the truck and immediately began to declare the Word over him and call him back to his body and reminded him of the Word that had spoken to each other that very morning that proclaimed “this is the year of victory over death”.

As she was speaking, Jill saw Don’s right arm shoot straight up in the air and instantly remembered the story that she had heard her entire married life about the same thing that happening to Don’s mother when she went to heaven. So, Jill reached over and slapped his arm down and said, “You’re NOT leaving!” The firemen arrived and loaded Don into the ambulance.

On the way to the hospital, Jill called her children and then the Prayer Team at KCM, and as the KCM staff member answered the phone and tried to make his polite introduction, Jill interrupted and yelled out “You get in agreement with me now!” Jill’s call was immediately placed on speaker phone and the entire room of Prayer Ministers began to pray and stand in agreement for Don. Jill never allowed fear to overwhelm her emotions, but stayed plugged into her faith and confidence in the Lord.

Many miracles happened on this day, including a divine appointment with the leading heart surgeon who “just happened” to be in the hospital when Don arrived. The surgical team found a blockage in the large artery of his heart, and after 40 minutes of blocked blood flow, the doctor burst into the waiting room to tell Jill that Don was alive! This type of blockage is not typically recoverable even when the patient is in the hospital at the time of the event. After 40 minutes of blocked blood flow, the cardiologist expected that their tests the next day would reveal extensive damage and problems with his heart. However, the tests confirmed not one bit of damage to Don’s heart!

Don is healthy and strong and sharing his testimony at every opportunity. The West’s know that they were able to operate in faith and experience the victory of their confessions because of the Word that they have learned from KCM for all these years!

The miracles and outpouring of the blessings of God continue today. After our interview, Jill and Don returned home to find a check in the mail that paid 50,000 dollars toward their medical debt. That Sunday at EMIC, Pastor George called them up front and invited the congregation to share in the blessing. The people responded generously! Don and Jill West received enough from that offering to pay all of their medical bills in full and their expenses for the month. God is good!
