When invites came out, I wasn’t even listedβ€”only a third alternate. My pastor encouraged me to pray with faith πŸ™, so every day I pushed through pain, therapy, and doubt. Then, the night before the event, three riders withdrewβ€”and I got the text: β€œYou’re in.” I wept at how God answered my persistent prayer, not only letting me compete but placing me on the podium πŸ†. Years later, feeling discouraged about my singleness, I remembered X Games faith and prayed eight months for a wifeβ€”then she walked back into my life πŸ’. God is able to do exceedingly above more than we ask! 😊

All throughout the Bible, we see God responding to the prayer of faith. People who believed God and had faith in who He was saw stories of how God answers prayer.

So today we hear the powerful testimony of how Ronnie Faisst grew closer to God because of persevering, persistant prayer and how God answered. It’s not about Ronnie and X Games and winning some medal, it points to the goodness and the power of Jesus.

Prayer does not guarantee that you “get what you want”. It’s not necessarily about that. It is about building a history in God as a Christian and Jesus revealing Himself to you that you could glorify Him. That is what prayer is all about. Glorifying God! And this is His will. Answered prayer shows you that He is real, that He hears, He cares, and that He really is the God that He says He is with all power.
