Summary
SummaryNine years ago, I was just a schoolgirl in Chibok, Nigeria, when Boko Haram stormed in and kidnapped over 270 of us. They crammed us into trucks and drove for days into the Sambisa Forest. There, they tried to force us to convert to Islam. Some gave in, but many of usβincluding meβrefused. We were denied food, threatened with death, but we chose to fast and pray. We held tightly to Jesus, even when they said theyβd bring holy men to kill us.
After three excruciating years, by Godβs grace, I was released. But many of my sisters are still missing. My mother still weeps, crushed by the uncertainty of my sister's fate. Every time she looks at her photo, pain floods her heart π.
But through it all, God has not left us. Iβm alive. I'm free. And we continue to pray π for the others to come home. God is our strength, our refuge, our hope π«. Please pray with us.
In 2014, Boko Haram kidnapped over 270 girls from their school in Chibok in northern Nigeria. Nine years on, nearly 100 girls are still missing, and their parents are in agony. Please continue to pray for these girls and their families.
