I perfected the act of looking like a β€œnice Christian girl,” but my heart was full of pride, hatred, and hypocrisy. Even though I avoided sin outwardly, inwardly I was resentful and self-righteous. Then my friend Huan Gordon went off to university and discovered true Scripture-based Christianity. He confronted me and other youth group members about our hypocrisy and kept inviting me to the Kingston Church of Christ, but I resisted for a long time. On June 13, 1989, I finally surrenderedβ€” I agreed to study the Bible, confessed my pride, and was baptized for the forgiveness of my sins. Since then, God has given me a deep personal relationship with Him for over 34 years. He’s blessed me with my husband Colin of 29 years, three beautiful children, and sincere friends who call me higher every day. πŸ™ŒπŸ“–β€οΈ

I grew up attending church with my grandma. I knew there was a God.

I decorated myself with the badges of a good Christian girl. Inside, I had no real intention of living for God.

My hypocrisy was shown to me yet it took some time before I could truly own the consequences of my actions. God was patient and did not give up! I decided to let the scriptures transform my life, my heart, and my desires.
