Summary
I grew up as the only boy among sisters in Leeds, feeling alone and facing bullying at home from agesΒ 5 toΒ 10 π. Violent conflicts at home left me with a damaged soul, and I turned to crimeβstealing, racing cars, and even gang violenceβto fill the void ππ¨. AtΒ 15, I fell into serious offenses, becoming a career criminal until my arrest atΒ 21 and being sent to prison where I experienced the depths of despair in solitary cells π₯.
In prison, curiosity led me to build an ouija board, but nothing happened. On my birthday, a book by Billy Graham fell into my hands in the library: βHow to be Born Againβ π. As I read its first words, the Holy Spirit overwhelmed meβtears flowed uncontrollably, and I felt Godβs love wash over me like never before π. After two weeks, I emerged reborn in spirit, though still awaiting release. A Pentecostal pastor visited, prayed with me, and solidified my faith.
Upon release, a friend urged me to attend church, where again I was rooted to the floor by Godβs presence before being pushed inside. That day confirmed the authenticity of my prison encounter: God had truly set me free and restored me to new life in Christ β€οΈ.
