Summary

My name is Joshua, and I lost my fatherβ€”who was also my pastorβ€”to a prolonged illness. Watching him suffer, I questioned God’s absence, feeling abandoned in my deepest need. After he passed away, guilt, grief, and even suicidal thoughts overtook me. I stopped reading the Bible, praying, and nearly gave up on everything. One day, I audibly heard God asking how long I would stay in that misery. I resisted at first, but then, in my father’s old office chair, I had a life-changing vision of Jesus. He showed me I could choose either the pain of my experience or the truth of His Word. When I surrendered my hurt and embraced the Word of God, the weight of guilt and sorrow lifted. In that encounter, Jesus became my true Father and reminded me of His unchanging love displayed on the Crossβ€”not based on whether my father’s healing came, but on the reality of His sacrifice. I left that chair feeling born againβ€”filled with hope and restored purpose. Now, I serve others with renewed passion, sharing how Jesus truly heals the heart and breaks the chains of despair and fear.

Suffering the loss of his father, Joshua almost lost his ministry and his faith until God stepped in and showed Joshua the plans and purpose for his life.

Quote –
β€œGod, today I die for my experience, and I live for your word.” When I declared that from my mouth, I saw Jesus get from the other side of the table, lift me up and put me back on that chair of my father. – Joshua
