Before I knew Jesus, I was deep in gang lifeβ€”Mexican street gangs first, then an outlaw motorcycle club. I was angry, hateful, depressed, and doing drugs. In September 2018, I saw Pastor Chris’s face on Facebookβ€”he looked so joyful and healthy. I texted him, and he began telling me about Jesus. One Sunday, I walked into The Way World Outreach, got saved, and was baptized. Little by little, God changed my heart: I stopped cussing, stopped being angry, and left drugs and drinking behind.

In November 2020, my wife Sandy and I both caught COVID-19. She was out after one week, but I spent three months in the hospital, in a coma with ARDS and severe lung disease. Doctors said I wouldn’t make it and urged my family to pull the plug. On New Year’s Day, Pastor Chris led a group to the hospital, and we worshiped and prayed for hours. I remember feeling someone grabbing my right hand, whispering, β€œFear not, I will help you” (Isaiah 41:13). That was Jesus Himself speaking to me. I woke up from my coma completely healedβ€”no diabetes, no high blood pressure, no lung issues. Doctors called it a miracle, but I give all the glory to Jesus. πŸ™ŒπŸΌβ€οΈπŸ”₯πŸ™πŸΌβ€
