Summary
Growing up in a loving but nonβChristian household, I craved affection as a teenager and turned to drugs, partying, and fleeting relationships. After having two sons and enduring controlling, violent relationshipsβculminating in a nearβfatal attackβI ran to the police and was forced to rebuild alone. In prison, my partnerβs fall opened my heart to Christ: I went to church, was baptized, but still wrestled with depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. Four months ago, in my darkest hour, I cried out with worship music and surrendered fully to Jesus. He healed my pain, gave me vision of His presence, and has set me on a new pathβnow studying nursing and serving in care work with hope and purpose.
