I chased psychedelic highs and New Age practicesβ€”mushrooms in my London flat, ayahuasca in the Amazon jungle, daily DMT, shamanic ritualsβ€”trying to fill a void left by childhood trauma and addiction. But each β€œspiritual” high drew me deeper into darkness and isolation. Two months after moving to Stroud, entities revealed their demonic nature and I cried out to Jesus. A fierce encounter with the Lord broke my chains. I fell on my knees in repentance, devoured Proverbs 16:7, and felt the Holy Spirit baptize me with power. Detoxing from decades of pills and substances, I walked through rehab strengthened by prayer, yielded to God’s promise (a rainbow as a sign), was baptized, and saw my mother healed by the power of prayer.
