Summary

SummaryI grew up in a devout Muslim family in the Horn of Africa πŸ“, devoted to the Quran. When I secretly encountered Somali believers teaching from the Bible, my heart began to awaken. Night after night I studied the Scriptures by candlelight πŸ•―οΈ, until I could no longer deny that Jesus was the way to true life. My decision to follow Him cost me dearlyβ€”I was imprisoned, beaten, and I even lost my brother in the violence that followed. Yet in the darkest cell, I felt God’s peace fill me, and His Word became my strength πŸ’ͺ. Now I continue to serve in secret among my people, training new believers and sharing the hope that sustains meβ€”because no chain can bind the Spirit of Christ πŸ”₯.

Rooble was raised in a devout Muslim family and dedicated his life to the Quran. His journey toward Christianity began when he encountered Somali believers teaching from the Bible, which led him to secretly study the Scriptures. After years of internal conflict, Rooble accepted Jesus as the way to salvation. His conversion, however, brought intense persecution, including imprisonment, beatings, and the loss of his brother. Despite the suffering, Rooble remains steadfast in his faith, continuing to serve secretly among Somalis.

STRENGTHENING CHRISTIANS WHERE FAITH COSTS THE MOST Learn more about persecuted Christians at https://www.opendoorscanada.org Contact us at opendoors@odcan.org Our Purpose is to strengthen and equip the Body of Christ living under or facing restriction and persecution because of their faith in Jesus Christ, and to encourage their involvement in world evangelism by: - Providing Bibles and literature, media, leadership training, socio-economic development and intercessory prayer; - Preparing the Body of Christ living in threatened or unstable areas to face persecution and suffering, and; - Educating and mobilizing the Body of Christ living in the free world to identify with threatened and persecuted Christians and to be actively involved in assisting them. We do so because we believe that when one member suffers, all members suffer with it (1 Corinthians 12:26), that all doors are open and that God enables His Body to go into all the world and preach the Gospel.
