My name is Darby. Growing up, my parents made me go to church and laid a solid foundation in the Bibleβ€”even though my heart wasn’t in it. As a teenager, I got into trouble with vandalism, running from the police, and rebellious behavior. I started drinking with friends and my life spiraled out of control; I became angry, distant, and even abusive. I met my wife during that turbulent time, but my life remained a mess because I wasn’t listening to Jesus. After one particularly painful fight, my wife’s intervention pushed me to cry out to God for the very first time. That moment marked a turning point. Through prayer, studying the Bible, and the unwavering support of my church community, I experienced true restoration. Today, my life is transformed, and I’m committed to sharing my story so that others can see that no matter how rough life gets, God’s power can bring about a new beginning.
