Summary

During the chaos of 9/11, I served as both a firefighter and pastor, witnessing the devastating collapse of the towers. Amidst the tragedy, I prayed Psalm 23, which brought me immense peace and strength. Losing 24 friends in the line of duty was heart-wrenching, but my faith in Jesus helped me cope with the trauma and anxiety. In the weeks that followed, recurring dreams and the support of my faith community guided me through the healing process. Sharing the gospel with my fellow responders and offering prayers became a source of hope and restoration for myself and others. Through this harrowing experience, God’s presence was undeniable, and my relationship with Jesus deepened, allowing me to find peace and purpose amidst the darkest of times.
