But this only led me down a darker pathβ€”PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eventually a suicide attempt in October 2023 πŸ₯€.

By January 2024, I hit rock bottom. I was so good at hiding my pain that no one realized how desperate I’d become. A friend sent me a link to the LCBC Christmas service, and I finally watched it on December 26, 2023 while waiting in an ER with my sick daughter. As soon as I heard the worship and message, I began to weep uncontrollably 😭. That night, I felt something I hadn’t felt in yearsβ€”the presence of hope. A week later, my husband, my kids, and I attended LCBC for the first time, and I felt completely overwhelmed by grace. It was in that moment I gave my life to Jesus, knowing I no longer had to carry my burdens alone πŸ™.

Since then, the weight on my shoulders has been lifted. I still face reminders of my past, but now I talk to Jesus about every struggle, and He gives me strength to move forward. Today, I am Stephanie Fischer, a life changed by Christ, and I know I am deeply loved, valued, and never alone ❀️.
