Summary
SummaryGrowing up, I accepted Jesus when I was 15, but that was also when my dad began to disappear from our lives. He was harsh, often absent, and eventually involved in shady overseas activities that plunged us into financial instability. We had to move houses, carry burdens we didnβt deserve, and endure betrayal even from within our home.
I battled bitterness β against my dad and even against God. Why would God allow this after all the time I spent serving Him? But slowly, God began showing me His care: divine job opportunities, a spiritual family, and restored relationships within our home.
The real battle was forgiveness. My mom once said something in Chinese that cut deep: "Though the world says you owe nothing, you can still choose to forgive." And that's what I chose. Forgiveness isnβt easy, but in Christ, itβs unconditional.
As I learned to fix my eyes on Jesus instead of my pain, He gave me freedom from my past. Romans 8:37 reminded me: We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Today, I know nothing can separate me from His love β and that love alone heals all wounds πβ‘οΈβ€οΈ.
“As Christians, we ought to do the right thing.”
