Summary

I grew up in brutal poverty in Spanish Harlemβ€”roaches, rats, drunken hallsβ€”and yet I learned of God from my grandparents. As a teen I was enslaved to sinβ€”drugs, drunkenness, impurityβ€”and even sat in my car pleading for deliverance, contemplating suicide. God answered through a friend’s Bible study, cut me to the heart with the Prodigal Son, and on October 9, 1981 I was baptized for the forgiveness of sins. Today, by His grace, I’m a new creation, married, a father, and serving in His family. πŸ™ŒβœοΈβœ¨

To the point where I even considered taking my own life.

I was truly disgusted with my life and knew I needed radical change as I continued in my wild lifestyle.

It wasn’t until I read the scriptures that I realized the true depth of God’s word and His love for me!
