Summary
SummaryI am Pastor Sian Muang from the Kuki tribe in Manipur. In May 2023, our villages and five churches were violently attacked and burned, forcing us to flee to the mountains. From that high ground, we watched our homes and places of worship go up in smoke. Helpless and without privacy or shelter, we cried out to God as our only refuge. Through the generosity of Open Doors partners, we received blankets, groceries, and safe housing. A seminar on persecution preparedness equipped us to forgive our persecutors, pray for them, and remain steadfast in faith. Today, despite displacement and hardship, we stand strong in Godβs promise, believing He will rebuild our homes and churches bigger than before.

Sian Muang*, a pastor from the Kuki tribe in Manipur, was among the many Christians who were displaced in the May 3, 2023 violence in Manipur. Five of the churches he pastored were burned during the violence. Despite the hardships they went through and the loss they incurred, Sian remains unshaken in his commitment to the Lord. He continues to serve displaced Christians and is grateful for the support received from Open Doors partners.
