Summary

SummaryI am Dhea, and my life changed forever when I was sentenced to prison at age 15 after being falsely accused following a horrific assault. Locked away in a strongly Islamic country in Southeast Asia, I felt utterly alone—stripped of family, community, and hope. One day, a parcel arrived containing a Bible. At first, I thought to burn it to hide any evidence, but curiosity led me to open it. I read the words “I saw your unformed body in your mother’s womb” and realized God had known me even before birth. Every day in that prison cell, I devoured the pages, discovering His love and mercy. My heart was transformed by the Holy Spirit, and I could not hide my faith when questioned. I confessed Jesus openly and was sent back to prison for four more months. When I was finally released, I fled my homeland, unable to return. Though painful, I found comfort in belonging to God’s family. Today, I serve through a hospitality ministry, caring for visitors from my country who also cannot return. I ask you to pray that others will hear the Gospel, understand God’s mercy, and for my ministry to be filled with wisdom and grace. 🙏✨

As a teenager, Dhea* found herself unjustly imprisoned after a crime was committed against her. But someone sent her a Bible – and in her darkest moment, she encountered the Risen Jesus.
