I’m Alyssa Gordon, and for years I battled deep childhood depressionβ€”crying myself to sleep, running away, and seeking escape in movies and music. College only amplified my loneliness as I chased love in all the wrong places. But God wouldn’t let me goβ€”He sent real Christians to guide me and challenged me to pour out my anger and pain in prayer. Shutting my door, I screamed at God to prove He was real. Hours later, His voice spoke peace over my broken heart, and I felt alive for the first time. I surrendered fully on Mayβ€―20,β€―2010, making Jesus Lord of my life. From that moment, depression lifted, joy filled me, and I became a new creation in Christ. Now I walk in purpose, self-confidence, and abundant life because of His grace!
