I grew up fatherless, battered by rejection and abuse. A lonely seven‑year‑old, I chased the first embrace that affirmed meβ€”another girlβ€”and spent over 20β€―years in lesbian relationships, marijuana, and liquor, proudly shouting β€œI’mΒ gay and proud” while serving at NASΒ Jax. Yet every buzz grew emptier. My mother’s sudden death left me raging at a God I barely knew. One night in 2008, after yet another blunt couldn’t touch the ache, I surrendered: β€œLord, nothing worksβ€”teachΒ me Your ways.” He flooded me with truth, broke every chain of pride and addiction, and filled me with the Holyβ€―Spirit. Since 2010 He’s sent me from Florida to Kenya and radio pulpits to shout: **β€œJesus still sets captives freeβ€”identity is only found in Him!”**
