Summary

SummaryI was deep in addiction, and a year ago my wife gave me an ultimatum—get help or lose everything. I was ashamed, embarrassed by my choices, but I knew she loved me enough to save my life. My uncle Randy drove me from Wisconsin to a treatment center here, then brought me to River Valley Church in the Twin Cities. I met the campus pastor, and his prophetic words cut straight to my heart. During worship I felt chains break off me, and at the altar call I crawled forward on my knees, overwhelmed by God’s forgiveness. Family risked half-hour drives and personal vulnerability so I could find freedom in Jesus. Without them, I don’t know where I’d be. 🙌❤️

Dan shares a story of redemption and the power of family. While in treatment for an addiction, Dan’s uncle invited him to church. Dan attended the service and found forgiveness and freedom in Jesus. “Without family, I don’t know where I would be.”
