SummaryI’m Shaima, born into a strict Muslim home in Africa, and by 18 I was desperateβ€”suicidal, on drugs, even enthralled by ISIS beheading videos. I felt unloved and trapped until my mother unknowingly gave me a Bible. As I read about praying for enemies and loving those I hated, Jesus’s grace began to change my heart. When I announced my conversion, my family abandoned me, leaving me isolated and battling depression again. Yet Jesus and the Holy Spirit became my constant companions. I was baptized, even as a demon momentarily manifested during the service, and then I spoke in tongues for the very first timeβ€”an overwhelming gift of the Spirit. Now, though I have no earthly family home, I’m part of Christ’s family worldwide. I’m on fire to share His love with all, especially those I once sought to kill, because He pursued me when I was lost. πŸ™Œβœ¨πŸ”₯

† STATEMENT OF FAITH : WHAT WE BELIEVE † The Bible † † We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God (Matthew 5:18; 2 Timothy 3:16-17). We hold the Bible to be inherent in the original writings, infallible, God-breathed, and the complete and final authority for faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Holy Spirit was the divine author of Scripture (2 Peter 1:21). While still using the individual personalities of the human authors, the Spirit superintended them to insure that they wrote precisely what He wanted written, without error or omission.† We believe that acceptance of Jesus Christ and the corresponding renewal of the Holy Spirit are the only paths to salvation for lost/sinful men and women. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who lives within and guides Christians so they are enabled to live godly lives.
