Hi, Iβm Denise Herman. I wasnβt raised in a faith-based family and spent my early years moving between schools, which left me feeling that something was missing. In my 20s, I made many poor choices and drifted away from God, especially after experiencing the tragic loss of both my parents β my dad through suicide and my mother from Alzheimerβs β which shook my world and left me blaming God. It wasnβt until my oldest daughter discovered her faith that I began to understand what I was missing. That moment, which I call my surrendering moment, led me to Spotswood where, listening to Pastor Drew, I experienced a profound salvation that changed everything. Now, I feel lifted, loved, and confident that God is always by my side.

Denise is a new member at Spotswood and a newly saved and baptized follower of Christ. Throughout her life, Denise has always felt something was missing, but never fully found her faith. After a tough childhood and young adulthood, one of her daughters helped to lead her to where she is today.
