My name is Monica Conley, I’m 32 years old and originally from Portugal. I share the story of the day I encountered the deadliest tsunami while vacationing in Thailand in December 2004. That catastrophic event swept me away on the beach and claimed the lives of my parents. In the midst of overwhelming chaos and near-death, I experienced a profound encounter with God that led me to accept Jesus Christ as my Savior. This miraculous transformation brought me from despair into a new life of faith, restoration, and hope. I share my testimony to encourage others that even in the face of disaster, God’s salvation is real and life-changing.

Approximately 230,000 people died in the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, including both of Monica’s parents.

Monica and her family were on the beach when the first wave struck. She was swept away in the water and met God in the midst of it.This encounter later led to her accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
