Summary

I struggled with my faith during four challenging tours in Afghanistan, and my personal shortcomings led me to be unfaithful on multiple occasions. The guilt I suppressed nearly destroyed my marriage. However, my wife’s steadfast prayers and her deep hurt opened the door for forgiveness. When I returned from my fourth tour, I repented, confessed my sins, and recommitted my life and marriage to Christ. Through His transformative power, our marriage was restored and I now live a life grounded in faith and gratitude.
