We thought we could escape the memories, but addiction only deepened our wounds. ๐Ÿท๐Ÿ’Š

On July 2, 1982, the horror escalated when I received word that my younger brother, Marco, had been brutally assassinated while incarcerated in the California Youth Authority. He was only nineteen. That moment shattered whatever meager hope was left in my heart, and I attempted suicide three times. ๐Ÿ˜ข I share this on camera for the first time because the weight of that loss still haunts me, even forty years later.

Eventually, I encountered Jesusโ€”to Him goes all the glory. Through stepping into ministry with Calvary Chapel under Chuck Smith and R. Ruiz, I began to understand that even the darkest demons could not withstand the power of Christโ€™s name. In Christโ€™s love, I found healing for my addictions, my mental anguish, and my suicidal despair. Today, I serve others who struggle with drugs and alcohol, reminding them that if God can rescue me from the depths of demonic oppression, He can deliver anyone. ๐Ÿ™Œโค๏ธ
