In college, I gave up my dream of fishing in the Rocky Mountains to follow my brother’s invitation to study the Bible at the New York City Church of Christ. There I saw my sins laid bareβ€”selfishness, lust, idolatryβ€”and chose to be baptized πŸ™. Yet depression swallowed me like a sea monster, and I drifted away until a Recovery Group and God’s mercy restored my faith. Two years later, I married my amazing wife, Anna, learning that Jesus loves both the loud and the quiet, the younger and older brother alike. Now I walk in true relationship with Him, not just for favors but for His character and love ❀️.

My faith began with me only going to God when I needed something…

I had no idea who God truly was, until I studied the bible and began a true relationship with God.

In my sin, however, I eventually fell away.

But by His mercy, I came back to Him!

If it’s one thing God has taught me over my faith journey it’s His divine character and love that covers over a multitude of sin.
