Despite early influences from my brother Larry and a brief glimpse of church in my youth, I fell deep into substance abuse. At 36, amid overwhelming peer pressure and the spiraling chaos of addiction, I reached a breaking point. One fateful early morning in May 2008, an email from my brother and a powerful cardboard testimony struck me hard. I broke down in tears, heard the Lord speak to my heart, and knew that my life needed to change. From that moment, I rededicated myself to God, left my destructive lifestyle behind, and have been drug free ever since.
