Summary

I loved my childhoodβ€”fishing with Dad and feeling like his shadow 🎣. But when his alcoholism surfaced, I reacted with anger and hurt words πŸ’”. One day he just left, and for three years I nursed deep resentment 😑. Then someone invited me back to our childhood church, and at the altar I prayed a simple, sincere prayer to receive Jesus πŸ™. Suddenly I longed to see my dad and poured out my heart in a letter βœ‰οΈ. When I arrivedβ€”nervous, bus-tiredβ€”he looked me in the eye and said, β€˜I forgive you.’ Then he asked, β€˜Will you forgive me?’ We hugged for the first time as a family, and I felt God’s amazing redemption fill my soul ❀️.
