Summary
SummaryI was born into a devout Muslim family in Lahore, running a thriving carpet and textiles business, and even preaching the Qurβan alongside my parents. Yet inwardly, my heart had already turned to Jesus βοΈ. Living a double lifeβMuslim at home, Christian outsideβfilled me with dread, for apostasy in Pakistan can cost you your life. One night, I left my home in a simple salwar kameez, trusting Godβs call, and embarked on a perilous journey of faith. As I preached in Lahore and beyond, threats from family and radical elements grewβshots were fired at the church where I stayed, and I had to flee from city to city: Shahpura, Sargodha, Islamabad. Ultimately, I sought refuge in Malaysia, only to face fresh opposition from fellow Muslims and bureaucratic indifference at the UNHCR office in Kuala Lumpur. For two years, my family and I lived in church halls under the care of FGC International Church, relying on prayer and the kindness of strangers. Through every trialβfear, homelessness, uncertaintyβGod sustained me and called me to be His witness, proving that no persecution can extinguish the light of Christ ππΌπ₯.
Pastor Ghalib Paul was persecuted in Pakistan because of his love for Christ and conversion to Christianity. And now he is living a miserable life in Malaysia due to the ignorance of UNHCR Kuala Lumpur. Despite all the sufferings he still serves Christ with endless passion. If you want to support him in this difficult time, please contact us through our website and let him know that you stand with him as his brother/sister in Christ.
