But when a close friend battled a brain tumor and faced death, I saw unshakable faith in the face of suffering and couldn’t ignore God’s presence any longer. One Sunday, I found myself miraculously at rehearsal, drawn by a force I couldn’t explain. During the sermon on restoration, God spoke: “You’ll be a believer someday.” By the end of Year 12, at a camp, I cried out, “Lord, where are you leading me?” and He said, “Go”—like calling Matthew. I dropped my old life—drinking, porn, control—and was born again by baptism 🙏. Now I study Music at university, serve in youth ministry, and worship with joy, knowing God’s love is eternal.
