In college, surrounded by mostly white peers, I felt unsafe and confusedโ€”why didnโ€™t the church address justice?

In 2014, on short-term trips to South Africa, serving in Cape Flats communities, I saw heartbreaking segregation and poverty under apartheid. My worldview of systemic racism was reinforced. Back in the US, my friend Christa challenged me: โ€œHow could you defend critical race theory biblically?โ€ I lacked answers and was frustrated. Through intense study of Scripture, God revealed the gaps in my thinking. I recognized that sin, not systems, is humanityโ€™s deepest problem, and true justice comes through a holy God ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ. I repented of hatred and embraced Godโ€™s truth: we are one human race, and He cares about justice, now and eternally. Today, I walk in forgiveness, unity, and hope, trusting that Jesus makes all things new ๐Ÿ™Œ.
