🙌 “I was 18 when drugs cost me my home, career—and my two eldest daughters. Homeless and deep in addiction, I even lost my third child to a toxic relationship. Facing prison or treatment, I chose a six‑month inpatient program. Yet I tried to conquer it alone, only to relapse into alcohol and loneliness in Portland. When an attorney warned I’d end up dead or incarcerated, I called my parents in Oregon. Moving to Hillsboro was the turning point: steady work, family support, and rediscovered faith. At Westside Community Church I breathed again under their ‘No Perfect People Allowed’ banner, and found Celebrate Recovery. As I worked the Twelve Steps, God became my higher power, and I’ve now celebrated nine years sober. My daughters—once strangers—are back in my life. Today I share my story so others know that from utter loss, through Jesus, restoration is possible.”
