I’m Mark Marrow, billed as America’s most requested school speaker, and I’m here to share my comeback story. Once a professional wrestler known as Johnny B. Bad, I experienced both incredible success and deep personal turmoil. Growing up in a single-parent home on the west side of Buffalo, New York, I battled through poverty, drugs, and gang-infested neighborhoods. I made it big in the wrestling ring—earning rookie of the year and becoming one of the top champions. But success came at a price: my marriage fell apart, and I hit rock bottom, even contemplating ending my life. In a moment of desperate clarity, I retrieved my handgun and, on the brink of despair, fell to my knees and begged God for forgiveness. I found that there’s no better friend than Jesus. His love rescued me, transforming my identity from broken and lost to born-again and delivered. Today, I travel extensively—speaking at schools and events—to share the message that no matter how bad your chapters have been, they don’t define the end of your story.
