Bad, I experienced both incredible success and deep personal turmoil. Growing up in a single-parent home on the west side of Buffalo, New York, I battled through poverty, drugs, and gang-infested neighborhoods. I made it big in the wrestling ringβearning rookie of the year and becoming one of the top champions. But success came at a price: my marriage fell apart, and I hit rock bottom, even contemplating ending my life. In a moment of desperate clarity, I retrieved my handgun and, on the brink of despair, fell to my knees and begged God for forgiveness. I found that thereβs no better friend than Jesus. His love rescued me, transforming my identity from broken and lost to born-again and delivered. Today, I travel extensivelyβspeaking at schools and eventsβto share the message that no matter how bad your chapters have been, they donβt define the end of your story.
