SummaryβHi, Iβm Dave Marshall. I grew up in a solid Christian home and accepted Jesus in third grade π, but for decades I chased after trying to please people, myself, and even God in a distorted way. I pursued a military career, education, and professional success, but inside I felt powerless and broken. By Easter of 2010, I was an angry man drowning in hurtsβdivorce, the death of loved ones, depression, and even suicidal thoughts threatened to consume me π. Thatβs when Celebrate Recovery began at Emmanuel Enid. Through the Step Study program, I learned to confront my unhealthy hang-ups and rely on Jesus for healing. Layer by layer, God exposed my dysfunctional thought patterns and taught me to cope with grief, depression, and the pain of a blended family π. Over time, I rediscovered my identity in Christ. I havenβt returned to my old habits. He restored my marriage π, healed my family relationships, and reminded me that Christ is enough. Today, I minister to broken people and thank God for giving me another chance to walk in faith π. Thanks for letting me share!β π
