I grew up in Ontario knowing about God but chased popularity, drugs, alcohol and sex instead of purpose. By 19 I was drowning in depression and clutching a bottle of pills, ready to end it all. A friend met me at TimΒ Hortons and shared that Jesus had a purpose for my life. That week He proved it with a vivid dream of rusty armor, slaves and a brand‑new shining robe. Facing those pills again, I cried, β€œI’ll try this Jesus thing!” From that moment the Holy Spirit flooded meβ€”addiction, depression and suicidal thoughts vanished. I was filled with fire, baptized in the Spirit at a youth camp, and began shouting hope to everyone. Today my wife Melissa and I lead DiscipleΒ City, training believers to take Jesus outside church walls so more people meet Him at cafΓ©s, barsβ€”even TimΒ Hortons. All glory to Jesus who turns suicide into purpose!
