I grew up in a vulnerable, alcoholic-scarred home in Pittsburgh and slipped into drug dealing and addiction to fill my wounded heart. After an overdose and one final hospital stay, God’s gentle awakening broke through my shame. Embracing Proverbs 8:17, I repented, found community at Broward Church, and walked free for nearly a decade in sobriety.
