Summary
SummaryβI was Rasheed, the son of an imam, raised to carry on my fatherβs callingβyet I felt something missing. And I was Abraham, a party-loving alcoholic with no direction. When Christ for All Nations set up at Freetownβs National Stadium in 1998, curiosity drew us inβRasheed for a concert; I for a soccer match. As Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke preached, the Holy Spirit pierced our hearts. Rasheed faced his fatherβs anger but rose to become a lawyer, leading many to faith. I left my hooligan past behind, planted churches, and now serve as a pastor. Godβs power changed two unlikely souls that dayβHallelujah! ππ₯β
Abraham and Rasheed were two men from very different backgrounds. Abraham was an partying alcoholic. Rasheed was the son of an Islamic cleric. In 1998, when Christ for all Nations came to their hometown in Sierra Leone, they saw how the whole city was going to the massive gospel meetings in the National Stadium. Out of curiosity they went to see what all the fuss was about. When they heard Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke preach the Gospel, both men were overwhelmed by the power of God. Today Rasheed is a Christian and a top layer. Abraham is a pastor who has planted, and now oversees, many churches in the nation. Both men are living testimonies to the power of God to save and deliver.
