My name is Les Cotton. I overcame a deep struggle with addiction, severe depression, and a suicide attempt that nearly ended my life. I was lostβ€”partying, using drugs, and drifting away from God. Through painful experiences, including a near-fatal overdose during Hurricane Rita and the desperate intercession of my mother, I encountered God’s transforming grace. The gift of the Holy Ghost through lifeline connect restored my life and brought me back to church. Today, as the pastor of Apostolic Life Church in Urbana, Illinois, I share my testimony to inspire others that no matter how far you fall, God’s love and restoration are always within reach.
