Summary
SummaryMy name is Pastor Yang, and since Myanmarβs coup in 2021, my young family and I have been on the runβliving in the forest without enough food or water. My children cried from hunger and fear, and when my wife gave birth in the jungle, we had no medical help. We clung to God in tears and prayer during those darkest days π. Our church members have been scattered; thereβs no phone or internet, so we canβt communicate. Despite bombs and gunfire targeting Christian areas, I risk traveling from village to village to encourage believers. Soldiers have stopped and questioned me at gunpoint. Local Open Doors partners provided persecution-preparedness training, teaching me how to meet secretly and support others even under threat. In those moments of despair, I felt Godβs presence and the power of worldwide prayer lifting our spirits πβοΈ. I ask you to pray that fellow Christians in Myanmar will know God is with them, be protected from danger, and receive His peace in their hearts.
Since Myanmarβs military coup in 2021, Pastor Yang* and his young family have moved multiple times in their search for safety. Here, Yang shares about the trials and challenges of ministering to believers while on the run.
