Summary
SummaryMy name is Kyle Olson, and I grew up in Ankeny, Iowa. Despite a loving family and good opportunities, I fell into partying and substance use by age 15—starting with alcohol, pot, and cocaine. After an OWI at 18 and an antidepressant prescription, I headed to the University of Iowa hoping for a fresh start, only to repeat the same destructive cycle with opiates in Ames. By 25, IV use left me stealing, lying, and broken—until my parents connected me to Teen Challenge. Three weeks into the program, during worship, the Holy Spirit empowered me with a joy deeper than any drug. Through counseling, community, and faith, I found restoration, got a job in Omaha, and met my wife Autumn. Now a student affairs specialist at Teen Challenge’s reentry center, husband, and father to little Oliver, I pour into others with the same grace I received. God’s faithfulness has given me purpose, family, and a new life in Christ. 🙌❤️
