SummaryI’m Sarah, a missionary from India πŸ™. I grew up in a Roman Catholic home but didn’t truly know Jesus. I chased Hindu gods and practiced deep meditation, yet felt an emptiness in my heart. In 2010, during a season of deep despairβ€”feeling suicidalβ€”I cried out to Jesus, asking Him to prove He was real. A month later, I met my husband, who lovingly answered all my questions about Christ. As I prayed and fasted for forty days, a bright light enveloped me. I sensed the Holy Spirit’s presence, felt a weight lifted off my soul, and knew Jesus had come to me. I repented, received the Holy Spirit, and gave my life fully to Him ❀️.

My husband and I surrendered our comfortable lives; he sold his business to attend Calvary Chapel Bible College in Hungary, and I followed him. We returned to India and began ministering to youth and slum communities, despite warnings that youth were a β€œburden” and slums were β€œuntouchables.” But God called us to serve them. As our ministry grew, neighbors and political leaders threatened usβ€”dog poop was thrown at our house, and we received death threats if we didn’t vacate. Yet God provided every needβ€”food, clothing, and safetyβ€”through generous gifts at just the right time 🍞.

In 2017, God impressed upon us to leave India, but we resisted because our ministry was flourishing. When COVID struck in 2019, our church shrank as families moved back to their hometowns, and we realized God had been guiding us. We stepped into television ministry; in 15 miraculous days, our children’s visas were approved, and we moved to Florida. From a small studio in the U.S., our messages now reach all of India in three languages. Though persecution intensifiedβ€”with kidnapping attempts and an acid attack on my husbandβ€”God shielded us at every turn. Today, as I share this story, I urge you: when persecution comes, hold onto Jesus, remain humble, forgive others, and trust God’s timing. He is faithful and will bring you through every trial πŸ’ͺπŸ•ŠοΈ.
