Summary“I grew up in a strict Mexican Catholic home and first met Jesus at Vacation Bible School when I was five 😊. Yet as a rebellious teen and young adult, I chased the sex-drugs-rock ’n’ roll lifestyle in New York, touring as a bassist and sinking deeper into hard drugs and alcohol 🎸🍻. One night, flipping through a Village Voice on the subway, I spotted ‘Vineyard Church service’ at my favorite dive, The Trash Bar in Williamsburg. I couldn’t believe it and counted down the minutes till that Sunday. When worship music started and the Holy Spirit fell on me, I felt God say, ‘I will not stop taking you’ 🙌. In that moment, Jesus rescued me from hopelessness and invited me into a new life of freedom and purpose ❤️.”
