SummaryIβm Shalinda Hill, and for years I lived under the weight of idolatry, addictions, and abuse. Growing up in a Christian household, I knew of God but never truly followed Him. In college at Florida State University, I chased partying, alcohol, and unhealthy relationships. I stayed in a toxic union for almost a decadeβdrinking, smoking, and sacrificing my self-worth, even having two abortions π₯. I was broken, codependent, and trapped.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, I became a new mom to Maximus and still felt hollow inside. One day, I realized God wasnβt in His rightful place in my life, and I didnβt know how to escape the pain. I fasted, prayed, and tuned into online worship services, and slowly something shifted in my heart. A friendβs testimony of escaping narcissistic abuse through faith hit me like a revelationβthat was my moment of transformation. God moved in a powerful way: I survived another violent incident with my partner, and the Lord orchestrated my rescue. My parents arrived just in time alongside law enforcement, and a no-contact order gave me the strength I needed to leave.
After that, life became peaceful. I repented of my abortions, embraced Godβs forgiveness, and experienced healing from my past. I discovered that life after Christ is full of color and joy πβ¨. God restored my family, granted me peace, and taught me what genuine love looks like. Now I live leaning on Him, co-parenting peacefully, and sharing this testimony so anyone stuck in abuse, addiction, or idolatry knows they can be free. ππΎπ

I never thought Iβd share this publicly, but God placed it on my heart to be transparent about my journey. From brokenness, toxic relationships, and addictions to healing, redemption, and purposeβthis is my testimony. Jesus saved me, and I pray this video encourages you to know that He can save you too!
