Summary
SummaryI’m Joe Kirby, and I grew up in a strict Christian home in Britain, bullied at school for keeping the Sabbath and feeling insecure 😔. At 16, facing a terrifying heart-flutter crisis and a “sudden death” diagnosis, I cried out to God: “If You spare me, I’ll follow You.” Miraculously, tests later showed only SVT, and an ablation surgery healed me. I promised to become a Christian, but backslid into partying during college. God gently drew me back through a challenging counsel from Pastor David White and an invitation to street preach with Open Air Mission’s Vinnie Commons. A light-bulb moment—understanding Christ’s wrath poured on Him at the cross—sealed my faith. Since then I’ve served full-time as an evangelist, sharing the gospel on streets and YouTube 🎤. This year, in February, Emma and I experienced heartbreaking loss when our baby Anna Grace was born sleeping. Yet through grief, God’s nearness and promise that “no suffering is wasted” have brought me closer to Him, and I rejoice in His goodness ❤️.
