I’m Darren, and for years I carried a hidden shame from a broken homeβ€”angry, bitter, trying to β€œfeel like a man” through drinking, a hot temper, and even new-age deception πŸ˜”. I believed I could control my life with tarot, astrology, and the law of attraction, but only found emptiness. Then a simple YouTube testimony and a prayer for truth pierced my heart. Through Bible studies with my twin Derek and friend Andrew, I repented of pride, anger, and immorality. One day, as I read Jeremiah 29:11 and John 14:6, the weight liftedβ€”I knew God loved me unconditionally ❀️. On July 2, 2020, I was baptized, and God restored my identity as His son. Today I serve on the worship team, free from fear and bitterness, defined by His love.

A broken home and sense of self paved the way for anger and bitterness to consume my heart. I self medicated with drinking and having a hot temper to feel more like a man. I dove into new age ideas and thought that I could became the god of my own life.

I came to learn the deceptions of new age beliefs and that the only way to God is through Jesus! After wrestling with God, I asked Him to reveal the truth to me. Slowly, but surely, He answered my prayer and changed my life.
