Determined to prove them wrong, I took a semester off from my college in the Bronx to dive into the Bible and compare synagogue teachings with church sermons. ๐Ÿ“–โœก๏ธ I went to Albuquerque to see this hippie Christian commune where they found their peace. As I studied the Old and New Testaments, it dawned on me that Jesus could indeed be the Jewish Messiah. My heart stirred, yet I was terrified to use the โ€œC-wordโ€ because of family expectations.

One afternoon, I prayed for God to show me the truth. In that moment, the Bible became so realโ€”I felt the darkness lift, and a fiery piece of peace burned inside me. ๐Ÿ”ฅโœ๏ธ Within two weeks, I stood before sociology students at a university in upstate New York, sharing why I believed Jesus was the Messiah. I couldnโ€™t keep it insideโ€”I became a Jesus activist almost overnight.

My activist roots came from my fatherโ€™s civil rights work in the Bronx. Now, armed with the same boldness, I used my art to communicate this piece of hope. After spending a summer in California seeing what โ€œJews for Jesusโ€ did on campus, I knew my calling: use creativity to share Godโ€™s truth. Today, Iโ€™m pursuing a PhD in Jewish studies, wearing no outward symbols of faith, but proudly aligning with Israel and my heritage. My peace remains unshakable because I found my true identity in Him. ๐Ÿ™Œ
