Summary
SummaryI grew up in a rural corner of western South Dakota, always striving for approval through hard work—but never hearing my dad say ‘I love you.’ Then one Saturday night at Lincoln Berean Church, as we studied Galatians, God spoke directly to my heart: ‘You can’t keep the law, but I love you.’ In that moment, every weight lifted off me—I knew Jesus died for me, and Galatians made it real. Over the next 15 years, this church family became my true home. Bible studies on Tuesday nights and the singles group brought lifelong friendships. I even invited a woman at my barn’s equestrian ministry to church, and God used our conversations to draw her close. Today, I stand free—no longer shackled by striving or loneliness. God has radically transformed me and even changed my father’s heart. Now I’m living to help others know Jesus and experience the same life-changing love I found here.
Heidi grew up in rural South Dakota working hard but there are some things no amount of work can fix. First Jesus changes our life. Then He starts to use us, to change others around us.
